"Buddy" App
"Buddy" is an internationally recognized application prototype that helps school-aged children combat bullying. "Buddy" is a keychain with a discreet button that alerts teachers or faculty of bullying when pressed by a student. "Buddy" was created within the SMAD 317 class at JMU and then was submitted to the CHI ACM International Competition held in Hamburg, Germany and was selected as one of the top ten finalists of the competition and the only undergraduate group selected.

"The Digital Beat" Podcast
"The Digital Beat" is a five-episode podcast series that answers the question: when did the music industry become not just about the music anymore?

This podcast investigates how social media has changed the music industry, a consumer's relationship with music, and other forms of media that have influenced the music industry over time. Additionally, there are two interviews from people who work in media in the music industry at record labels like Warner Music Group and Columbia Records.

Eventra: CIS/SMAD Capstone
Eventra was the winning website of the CIS/SMAD Fall 2023 Capstone Competition sponsored by KPMG. Eventra is an event management site allowing users to easily manage, edit, and create a significant event. Functional on desktop and mobile, Eventra is the first of its kind to plan events like this across multiple user types. The design allows for clear, simple communication in an aesthetic manner. Competing against three other groups, Eventra won for it's mobile capability, sleek design, thorough user testing, and overall great functionality.
Kline's Redesign
Kline's is a well-beloved ice cream in the Shenandoah Valley. During SMAD 498, this project allowed us to redesign this loved chain and create a more modern approach to ice cream. In this project, we rebranded their website and Instagram as well as conducted user research, and created cohesive branding for the ice cream company.
